Important notice
We want to inform you about a significant update regarding the Mailbox audit Management Action and Playbook.
Since January 2019, Microsoft has enabled mailbox auditing by default at the organization level. This setting overrides the per-mailbox setting used by the retired controls, so they no longer change mailbox auditing behavior. In light of this, and as announced in our October 2026 release notes, the “Enable Mailbox Audit” Management Action and the “Mailboxes with Audit disabled” Playbook have been retired.
We're acting proactively to ensure our CoreView platform remains fully aligned with Microsoft’s changes.
Key changes and action items
Impact on Management Actions and Workflows
The “Enable Mailbox Audit” Management Action no longer performs any operation and will soon be permanently removed. Workflows that still reference the Management Action after its removal may fail.
An in-product alert identifies uses of the deprecated Management Action.
Impact on Playbooks
The “Mailboxes with Audit disabled” Playbook has been removed, so that it no longer creates remediation tasks for this setting.
