With the “Default comparison Tenant” feature, you can assign a specific tenant to serve as the default comparison tenant for another tenant in Reconcile.
For example, if you have two tenants named
- “HR Production”
- and “HR Staging”,
you can configure “HR Staging” to always compare against “HR Production”. After this selection, every time “HR Staging” is selected, the system will compare this tenant to the “HR Production” tenant by default.
To configure a default comparison tenant follow the steps below.
Configure a default comparison tenant
On the Reconcile page,
- Select the tenant for which you want to assign a default comparison tenant.
- Make sure the “Compare with” box is checked
- Expand the dropdown to locate the tenant to designate as the default comparison.
- Select the star icon to set the tenant as the default comparison target.
The star icon will turn blue, and a status badge identifying the default comparison tenant will appear in the comparison view header.
On subsequent loads of the comparison view, the system automatically compares the current tenant configuration against the selected default comparison tenant.

Assign a different comparison tenant
To assign a different default comparison tenant, select the star icon next to another tenant in the tenants list.
Remove an existing default tenant
To remove the existing default comparison tenant, click the blue star icon to deselect it. This action will clear the default comparison tenant for the currently selected tenant.
