The “Export” functionality allows for easy sharing of reports outside of the platform and facilitates further analysis in other tools.
To utilize the "Export" feature, follow these steps:
- Select the report you wish to export.
- Access the export function: navigate to the top right corner of the interface and click on the "Export" button.
- Choose the format: a dropdown menu will appear, presenting you with different format options for the report. You can choose between "Excel", "CSV", or "PDF".
Please note that the “Excel” option is recommended for smaller reports. For larger reports (for example, those with more than 500 records), the "CSV" format is suggested due to its ability to handle larger data sets more efficiently.
- Export the report: once you've selected the desired format, click on it to initiate the export process.
For reports with less than 1000 rows, the file is automatically downloaded upon selecting the format. This immediate download function provides quick access to your data.
For larger reports, CoreView will compile the report in the background. This process ensures that even extensive data sets can be exported efficiently. You will be notified within the CoreView portal as soon as the export is ready for download. To access your file, simply click "Download" in the notification pop-up.
When exporting data using the CSV exporter, the system will prioritize using a delimiter as defined by the user. This preferred delimiter can be found and set under “Personal Info > User delimiter”. In instances where the user has not specified a personal delimiter, the system will default to using the delimiter specified within “Settings > Organization settings > CSV delimiter”.
Successfully exported reports are located in the “Exported” section (see picture below). As indicated by the “i” callout, only reports with more than 1000 rows will be stored here immediately after they have been successfully exported.
This section can be accessed from the sidebar, by clicking the item “Exported”.
