January 29 enhancements

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

[REPORTS/PLAYBOOKS] New attributes and policies for logins with MFA and CA: we've added attributes in the Active Users report to show the last successful login with Conditional Access and MFA. Additionally, four new CoreView policies detect when users and admins have logged in without CA and MFA in the past 30, 14, or 7 days.

This enhancement was inspired by a CoreVoice request.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS

  • [REPORTS] Introducing V-Tenant filtering in Holidays report: when setting up a virtual tenant, you can now apply a custom filter on the holiday name in the new "Teams Holiday" section, and this will be reflected in the Holidays report. Users under the V-tenant will only see the filtered holidays, making it easier for them to manage the holidays they are responsible for.
This feature was inspired by a CoreVoice request.
  • [REPORTS] “Last N days” operators in report filters: the “Last N days”, “Not in last N days”, and “Next N days” operators are now available in Report Filters, enabling more specific reporting.
  • [WORKFLOWS] Enhanced “Edit mailbox” workflow action: we’ve added a “Hidden from address list” field to the “Edit mailbox” workflow action, aligning it with the capabilities of the corresponding management action.
  • [WORKFLOWS] New toggle to remove spaces in execution inputs: a new “Remove spaces” toggle in the workflow “Configure execution input” wizard lets you automatically eliminate spaces from your inputs, ensuring data integrity and supporting workflow stability.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • [MANAGEMENT ACTIONS] “Assign license” workflow action to be removed: by March 31, 2025, the “Assign license” workflow action will be deprecated. Please update your workflows to use the "Manage license" action to prevent disruptions.
  • [REPORTS] OnlineUser fields to be deprecated: by March 31, 2025, the following fields will be deprecated as they are not supported by Microsoft Graph:
    • Overall provisioning status
    • Validation status
    • Is BlackBerry user
    • Strong authentication methods
    • Default strong authentication method
Please note that you can use the “Register authentication method” field as a replacement.
  • [WORKFLOW/MANAGEMENT ACTIONS] Security group actions migrated to Graph: the “Add member to security group” and “Remove member from security group” workflow and management actions have been moved to Microsoft Graph. If you have any custom actions using MSOL and/or Azure, please migrate them as soon as possible.
  • [PLAYBOOKS] MFA policy deprecation: we will remove the "Admins Without MFA Default Method for Strong Authentication" policy on February 12, 2025, as it relies on data that Microsoft will soon deprecate.

January 27 enhancements

[REPORTS] New “Unlicensed OneDrive owners” report: In light of Microsoft's policy effective January 27, 2025, we've launched a report to help you identify unlicensed OneDrive accounts actively accessed by other users versus unused accounts. This assists in deciding which accounts to license and which to remove safely, avoiding archive costs.

Please note that this feature is available for CoreView ONE owners. Contact your account manager to activate a trial.

January 15 enhancements

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

[SETTINGS] Nested workflow restart options: tenant admins now have two choices for restarting nested workflows after a failure: “Restart from failed action” or “Restart from first action”. Access this feature under Organization Settings > Management Actions to enhance operational efficiency.
[WORKFLOWS] Introducing high-priority workflow execution: we've added a new “Enable option to run in high priority” toggle in the workflow editor. This generates a “Run in high priority” button on the Execution page's bottom line, allowing you to manually prioritize a workflow when necessary.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS

  • [GOVERNANCE CENTER] New policy with violations report: in the Governance Center Overview, select the “Total policies with violations” widget to quickly assess these policies’ compliance status and severity. Take action based on your role and permissions.
  • [MANAGEMENT ACTIONS] Enhanced “Add members to security group” action: operators will now see the UPN of the member when tracking this management action, enhancing user experience clarity.
  • [PARTNER APP] Extend customer trials multiple times: distributors and partners can now extend trials multiple times directly through the Partner App. Each extension lasts 7 days and can be requested in the last three days before trial expiration, with notifications sent as usual.
  • [SETTINGS] New Graph roles required for password management: As previously announced, starting January 15, 2025, new roles must be assigned to the Graph application to enable the "Manage Password" action. The "User Admin" role is needed to manage non-admin user passwords, while the "Privileged Authentication Administrator" role is required to manage passwords for users with admin rights through CoreView.
  • [SETTINGS] New “Language preferences” setting: choose your preferred language in Organization Settings for column titles in report exports and call-to-action buttons in workflow approval emails, ensuring consistent communication throughout the organization. Inspired by a CoreVoice request
  • [SETTINGS] Introducing hierarchical permission inheritance: permissions assigned in the master tenant will now apply to all managed client tenants, ensuring consistent access control.
