December 18 enhancements

ACTIONS

Replacing “Reset MFA” with “Reset auth methods”: with Microsoft's planned deprecation of the cmdlet powering “Reset MFA”, we've introduced the “Reset authentication methods” action. Both actions will coexist until March 2025. Please update all workflows and permissions using "Reset MFA” to the new action before this deadline to maintain uninterrupted service.

PLAYBOOKS

New Visio and Project policies: we've introduced more CoreView policies to automatically monitor the usage of Visio and Project & Planner. These enhancements allow for the reclamation of licenses from inactive users, and with this release, all license plans are supported.
Note: these policies are subject to a 2-day delay due to Microsoft's import schedule.

Manage panel in policy reports: we’ve reintroduced access to the Manage panel directly within each policy's full report page. The panel is positioned on the right and remains collapsed to preserve full report visibility.

Update to Microsoft 365 group & Security group reports: we've revised the default properties shown in both the Microsoft 365 and Security group reports. This adjustment enhances the focus on the most important details.

Enhanced report capabilities: custom attributes have now been integrated into a wide range of CoreView reports, along with the ability to create Pivot tables

SETTINGS

Introducing local time zone settings: a “Time zone” option has been added to the “My profile” page, enabling operators to select their preferred time zone. Once applied, the operator's time zone will be updated across multiple portal sections, enhancing the user experience.

WORKFLOWS

Dynamic operator information in workflows: we've added the capability for operators to include dynamic internal inputs, such as “ExecutedBy”, “Execution ID”, and “Starting Time” in both predefined and custom workflows. This enhancement supports compliance with specific organizational policies and was inspired by a couple of CoreVoice ideas: CoreVoice1, CoreVoice2.

Enhanced “Send email” workflow action editor: we've introduced a default view for execution inputs added to the email body, where they appear as plain text. This upgrade allows for text transformations via editor commands, streamlining the email writing process. Switching back to edit mode retains these changes.

You can also schedule automated health check exports, making monitoring tenant governance compliance easier than ever!
Note: The legacy export button in My Dashboard will remain available for a few more weeks to ensure a smooth transition.

Extra grant needed for managing MFA: as part of our transition to modern architecture, we've updated all user MFA management actions to operate via the Graph API.
