1. Using Microsoft 365
You can convert a user mailbox into a shared mailbox in Exchange Online using:
- Exchange admin center: Recipients > Mailboxes > Convert to Shared Mailbox.
- PowerShell.
Set-Mailbox -Identity <MailboxIdentity> -Type Shared

2. Using CoreView
Follow the steps below to convert Exchange user mailboxes to shared mailboxes using CoreView:
- Go to the CoreView Portal.
- Select ACTIONS > Management Actions > Mailbox > Convert to shared mailbox.
- Select one or more user mailbox(es) or upload a CSV file with the list of targets.
- Click Continue > Proceed.
- Verify if everything is in order and write notes to track additional information related to this change (e.g., ServiceNow ticket number, reason for the change), which will be tracked on the CoreSuite side.
- The user mailboxes will then be converted to shared mailboxes.
Operators will only be able to view and manage mailboxes that are part of their defined V-Tenant scope.
