Dynamic score data

The numbers that constitute your score are dynamic and update every 24 hours. These same numbers are utilized in this section to transparently demonstrate how CoreView calculates your scores. In the example below, dynamic numbers are represented by the variables n1, n2, n3, and so on.

Understanding your tenant score

Base score

Each enabled policy with a configured threshold and a Critical or Warning severity level adds compliance points to your possible score. Policies marked as “Critical” add 50 points, while policies marked as “Warning” add 10 points. The calculation is performed at the tenant level.

Deductions for non-compliance

If a matched item exceeds the threshold becoming a violation, the entire score will be deducted.

Score calculation

  • Maximum score: calculated based on the number of Critical enabled policies times 50 compliance points, plus Warning enabled policies times 10.
  • Deductions: made based on non-compliant Critical (-50) and Warning (-10) policies.
  • Final score: your score after deductions is calculated.

Compliance rate

(Final score/Maximum score) x 100

Your compliance rate translates into a grade, following our grading scale below.

Grading scale

A+ (97-100%), A (93-96%), A- (90-92%)

B+ (87-89%), B (83-86%), B- (80-82%)

C+ (77-79%), C (73-76%), C- (70-72%)

D+ (67-69%), D (63-66%), D- (60-62%)

F (0-59%)

Notes

  • Grades are determined only for policies with set thresholds and Critical or Warning severities.
  • The calculation is performed at the tenant level.

How your tenant grading is calculated

Your tenant contains a total of [n1] policies:

  • [n2] Critical policies are fully compliant
  • [n3] Warning policies are fully compliant
  • [n4] Critical policies have items exceeding the threshold, resulting in a deduction of [n4 x 50] points.
  • [n5] warning policies have items exceeding the threshold, resulting in a deduction of [n5 x 10] points.

Calculation breakdown

  • Maximum score: (n2 x 50) + (n3 x 10) + (n4 x50) + (n5 x 10) compliance points
  • Deductions: (n4 x 50) + (n5 x 10) points
  • Final score: [(n2 x 50) + (n3 x 10) + (n4 x50) + (n5 x 10)] - [(n4 x 50) + (n5 x 10)] = [n6] compliance points
  • Compliance rate: n6 / [(n2 x 50) + (n6 x 10)]} x 100 = [n7]%

Based on our grading scale, a compliance rate of [n7]% corresponds to a [ ] grade.
