Personal mailbox settings

Typology Property Description
Litigation hold Enabled/Disabled Litigation hold is applied or removed to preserve mailbox data.
Duration Specifies the length of time the litigation hold remains active.
Owner Identifies the person responsible for managing the litigation hold.
Retention note A note providing additional information about the retention policy.
Retention URL Modifications on URL field that allows administrators to direct users to a website with additional information about Litigation Hold.
Archive Enabled/Disabled Archive feature is enabled or disabled for the mailbox.
Email address Addition/Removal Addition or removal of SMTP, SIP, or SPO proxy addresses linked to the mailbox.
Permissions Full access Grants or revokes the user's ability to open and fully manage another mailbox as the mailbox owner.   
Send on behalf Granting and revoking the possibility for a user to send email messages on behalf of another mailbox.
Sand as Grants or revokes the user's ability to send email messages as if they are the mailbox owner; recipients will see the mailbox owner as the sender.
Access rights

Any combination of the following access rights can be granted or revoked:

  • External account: allows a user or account outside the organization to access the mailbox or folder.
  • Delete item: permits the assigned user to delete items, such as emails, calendar events, or contacts, from a mailbox or folder.
  • Read permission: allows the assigned user to view items in a mailbox or folder.
  • Change owner: allows the transfer of ownership of a mailbox or folder to another user.
  • Change permission: permits the assigned user to modify access rights for other users on a mailbox or folder.
